This crazy life is drifting into a strange world in which 'threads of thought' are taking the place of the real world.  I know that it is simply some sort of transitional phase, but at the same time is begs the question as to the meaning of media in my life.

Since I gave up television about 5 years back, dumped the cable for several reasons there has been a gradual change in the way I participate in the media experience. By the way, we still watch tons of movies, bot from Netflix as well as the two local video rental stores.  The main result of not having the TV blaring ads all the time has been that I think deep down I feel much better about myself, my life and my circumstances.  The artificial driving need of 'feeling less than', of filling the god hole with un-needed drek has diminished somewhat.  It has not left entirely, but a huge chunk has left my daily consciousness, which in the end is a very good thing.

Princess Diana

Probably many young men had a 'thing' for Princess Di.  I can say that I did.  Not like I was thinking, 'Oooh I want to shag Princess Di !" but more like a platonic notion in the head, insistent, familiar, penetrating the teeth.  A turbo charged fairy tale filled with Lear Jets, Rolls Royce and Rolex.  Polo fields and dashing around the Aegean.  She was really the Glam Princess of Royal Fabulousness, bring English Royalty to the 20th century.

Even now, the thought of her dead is a sobering thought.  Bye Di.  Again.

Ok So I have heard about VOX for a while now, since both the hard and the soft launch, so here I am !  I was doing some research on some of the newest Social Networks and fell into this trap, of putzing around with the blog look and feel.  Something about these canned blogs that kinda gets me, there seems to be a hook, how far can I go with the tools they have built in.

I have to get back to the real work, but this was fun.  I will come back later with some friends.
